Broadening of Social Networks Through Community

Definition

Through engagement in the community, either onsite or digitally, students get to expand their social network (NGOs, civil society organisations, public authorities, HEIs, businesses, SMEs, entrepreneurs, community leaders, policymakers and peers) and deepen their understanding of community issues. These relationships and networks are often invaluable for students´ sense of belonging and career pursuits (Mishra, 2020).
