Critical Thinking

Definition

Critical thinking is a high-level cognitive process, which includes several skills needed for evaluating and understanding information regarding sustainability problems. Critical thinking allows learners to go beyond just passively understanding sustainability concepts (Kearins et al., 2003) and to become more responsible and actively cooperate in creating a sustainable world. It helps them to develop the ability to reflect and assess theories and assumptions (GreenComp, 2022).
